The Association of Free Methodist Chaplains will host its annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) July 11-14, 2011, on the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College, preceding GC11. All FM chaplains are encouraged to attend.
The yearly PDC gives chaplains a chance draw aside and be renewed as they meet together and spend time renewing acquaintances and making new ones. It is also a planned learning time. This year’s training will be led by David A. Thompson, a licensed professional counselor and retired Navy chaplain who assists deploying and returning soldiers and their families. Attendees will also share “best practices” from each field of the chaplaincy.
