180 Days of Prayer

GC prayer page imageLet’s get ready for GC11 in the most active, crucial way possible as a church -– through prayer.

The Lord promises, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

In anticipation of GC11the Board of Bishops called us to prayer. Bishop Kendall wrote, “We … call you to do what God’s people always do at strategic and defining moments in their history, which is His Story. That is, they seek and surrender to their God, and do so particularly through prayer and fasting.”

Together let’s follow the Lord and our leaders’ call. As we do so whole-heartedly, we can “expect leading and empowering.” Through prayer and fasting the Lord will ready us to hear and obey His direction at what we all desire to be “strategic and defining moments in our history.”
