Whereas:
WHEREAS, the current retirement age is set at 65 in the United States;
WHEREAS, new legislation has been passed by Congress creating a new retirement table; and
WHEREAS, it gives the bishop the opportunity to continue serving the Church.
Therefore, be it resolved:
Edit “A bishop ‘may’ in place of ‘shall’ retire:”
